1. What this is
Moonray turns someone's life story into a printed book.
An AI companion called Sara talks to them on Telegram, in their own language, for as long as they want to talk. What they say is assembled into a hardcover book. Their recorded voice is kept and can be downloaded.
By buying Moonray or using it, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use it.
2. Who you are
The buyer pays and holds the account.
The storyteller talks to Sara. Often a parent. Sometimes the buyer themselves.
These terms apply to both, and where they differ we say so.
3. What you get for $99
One payment. Twelve months. No automatic renewal, ever. We will not charge you again unless you deliberately buy something else.
Included:
- One printed hardcover book, in the language you choose, delivered to you.
- Sara, available on Telegram for twelve months, for as many stories as anyone wants to tell.
- The digital book, downloadable at any time, updated as more stories are told.
- Every voice recording, kept and downloadable, tied to the story it belongs to.
- A gentle weekly check-in, so the stories keep coming, with no deadline and no pressure.
Optional, at additional cost:
- The other language edition, at $59, which includes translation and a printed hardcover.
- Additional hardcovers, at $59 each.
Prices are in US dollars. Shipping is included to the country you choose at checkout.
4. Refunds
Thirty days, no argument.
If within thirty days of purchase Moonray is not right, for any reason, email hi@moonray.life and we will refund you in full. If the storyteller is not comfortable, or is not interested, or plans changed. No form to fill in, no justification required.
After thirty days, or once a book has been printed and shipped, we cannot refund the printing and shipping. If something arrives damaged or wrong, tell us and we will fix it.
5. Who owns the stories
The storyteller owns her stories. Her words, her voice, her photographs. They are hers.
You give us permission to store them, process them, and make the book you asked for. That permission exists so we can do the job. It does not make them ours.
We will never publish, sell, license, or share anyone's stories. We will not use them in marketing. We will not use them to train AI models.
The book itself is yours to keep, read, copy for your family, and pass on. We do not restrict what you do with your own family's book.
Moonray's own design — the typesetting, the cover layouts, the software, the name — remains ours.
6. Nothing prints until it is approved
No book is printed until someone reviews it and approves it. Every story can be read, corrected and edited before it becomes a physical object.
Once a book is approved and sent to the printer, it cannot be recalled. Until that moment it can be reopened and changed.
7. What Sara is
Sara is an AI. She says so on her first message and she does not pretend otherwise.
She is a companion for telling stories. She is not a therapist, a doctor, a lawyer or a friend, and she should not be relied on for advice of any kind. If someone is in distress, please reach a real person.
Sara may occasionally misunderstand, mishear a name, or get a detail wrong. That is why the book is reviewed before it prints.
8. What we ask of you
- Use Moonray for its purpose: recording a real person's life story, with their knowledge.
- Do not use it to record someone who has not agreed to it.
- Do not use it to harass, deceive, or impersonate anyone.
- Do not try to break, overload, or reverse engineer the service.
- Do not upload photographs you have no right to use.
If someone uses Moonray to harm another person, we will stop them.
9. What we promise, and what we do not
We will do our best to keep Moonray running, keep your stories safe, and print a book you are glad to hold.
We cannot promise the service will never be interrupted, that Sara will never misunderstand, that a printer will never make a mistake, or that a parcel will never be delayed.
Where the law allows us to limit our liability, our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us.
Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. If you are a consumer, you keep all the rights your local law gives you, and nothing in these terms takes them away.
10. Deleting everything
Anyone can have everything erased.
A Persian-speaking storyteller can tell Sara directly and it happens, with two confirmations and no permission needed from anyone. In other languages, email hi@moonray.life and we will do it.
A buyer can email hi@moonray.life. We do not put a delete button in the buyer's dashboard, because the stories belong to the storyteller and one person erasing another adult's memoir deserves a human check.
Deletion is real: stories, recordings, photographs and book files are removed from our systems, not hidden. The privacy policy explains exactly what happens and what small record survives.
Deletion is not reversible. Once it is done, we cannot recover anything.
11. Ending it
You can stop using Moonray whenever you like. There is nothing to cancel, because there is no recurring charge.
After twelve months, Sara stops asking for new stories. Everything already told stays, and stays downloadable, unless you ask us to delete it.
We may suspend or end an account that breaks section 8. If we do, we will tell you why, and we will refund what you have paid for anything undelivered.
12. Changes
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will email account holders and update the date at the top.
We will not change the price of something you have already bought.
13. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, and the Malaysian courts have jurisdiction.
If you are a consumer in the UK, the EEA, or anywhere with its own consumer protection law, this does not remove the rights or the local remedies that law gives you.
